Here is your one-stop-shop for everything you need to know for the perfect trip to Warm Springs, Virginia.
Located in the Washington and Jefferson National Forest in the South Western sector of Virginia, Warm Springs is a small town known, along with its neighbor Hot Springs, for its thermal springs. The two towns are a highlight in Bath County! While the springs are a big attraction for visitors, there are numerous other things to do during your stay.

1. Walk through Warm Springs The center of town is about three blocks downhill, but it is a nice walk. You will pass the town library and administrative buildings as well as the local art gallery. Walk a bit further to send a postcard home and admire the sunflower garden at Gristmill Square. If you are interested in history, make sure to stop and read the signs along the road. Take a peek at the statue in front of the courthouse too! You can walk to the center of Warm Springs from the Meadow Villas and the Inn at Gristmill Square (which is at the end of town).
2. Eat dinner at the Waterwheel The Waterwheel at Gristmill Square has the perfect ambiance and menu for any traveler. Make sure to take a peek at the restaurant's wine cellar whether you chose to open a bottle with dinner or not.

3. Hike the Warm Springs Trail There are many different hiking options in the area for every level of hiker, but this hike and view is definitely one not to be missed. Don't forget your bug spray!
4. Drive into Hot Springs and explore the town strip
Hot Springs, located less than 5 miles from Warm Springs, is another small quaint town. Walk through downtown to find the town salon, the art gallery, some great options for food, and of course, the two chains in the area - BB&T and Subway.
5. Try the local beer at Bacova Beer Co. Located in downtown Hot Springs, Bacova produces local beers. Meet visitors and locals at this hot spot while sipping your beer and eating good food. If you need some entertainment, check out the game cabinet for an assortment of fun!
6. Wander the grounds at the Omni Homestead Walk the vast paths along the resort or hop on one of the Resort hike tours on the many hiking trails behind the main building. Depending on the season, you can play a round of golf or spend the day skiing.
7. Drive into West Virginia Less than 30 minutes from the border, the quick picturesque drive is definitely worth it. Explore the small West Virginia towns in search of a coffee shop or find some new hiking gems in Watoga State Park for your morning excursion.
8. Spa Day!! Need a break from nature? There are two main spas in the area: the Warm Spirit Spa in Warm Springs and The Spa at the Omni Homestead. Of course, you can also go to the Warm Springs Bathhouse, commonly known as the famous Jefferson Pools, for a thermal spring natural experience (currently closed as of Nov. 2020).
9. Attend an event at Garth Newel Music Center Music lovers should make sure to get tickets for an event here. The center hosts over 50 educational programming events and concerts throughout the year. Not only do they provide an exceptional musical experience, but there are lodging options in the Manor house and delicious food prepared by the resident chef.
