Alumni Ball

The long awaited day has finally arrived! Finals are over and it is time to celebrate!! This means blasting music and getting dressed up with our friends, pictures on the deck (and really everywhere else on the ship), and a good fancy 5 course meal. Oh and we cannot forget a picture with Captain Kostas!!

Alumni Ball has two seating times and everyone is in the Berlin Dinning Room. It seems like an excessive thing, to get dressed up real fancy for a ship full of people that have spent the last 100+ days with you in sweatpants and puddles or sweat, but I assure you it is long aniticipated by every single voyager. Its like the last goodbye but with delicious food and a toast from Captain Kostas and Dean Marti. The night marks the begining of reentry programing where, as a ship community, we discuss what we’ve seen, what we’ve learned, how we’ve changed, and most inportantly what comes next.

Let me end with this, alumni ball is where we get fancy dinner which throughout the ship costs $30 but on that special night, is FREE! Yet, as happy as that makes everyone, it does not make up for the fact that we get kicked off the ship three days later in Amsterdam.
